Unboxing: The Reader Daily Edition

author Sukhjit Ghag posted 11/18/2009

The Reader Daily Edition is available for presale today! Here's an unboxing video to give you a closer look at the eReader many of you have been asking about!

Some of my favorite things about the Reader Daily Edition:

It has a touch screen display that has a paper like look.

You can read in both portrait and landscape more. Landscape lets you read 2 pages side by side.

You can search, highlight, make notes and bookmark on the page.

There is a built in English dictionary, perfect for quickly looking up a word mid-read.

You can store tons of books on it and with the expansion slots… even more.

Wireless 3G connectivity to Sony's eBook store where you will be able to download some newspapers and magazines in addition to books.

Works great on Mac and PC.

In Sony's Picture and Sound Lab Learning About Possible New TV Laws

author Sukhjit Ghag posted 11/17/2009
Last week I met with a group of Sony Engineers to learn more about the California Energy Commission proposed legislation that would create stricter standards for how televisions are made in California. Tim McGowan, who is part of the TV Engineering team here at Sony, explained what the proposed laws mean for Sony as a manufacturer as well as how new laws will affect television consumers.

Tim also showed me what Sony is already doing to create more energy efficient televisions.

What happens when you gather a group of radio personalities gearing up for the holiday season in a Sony Style store full of holiday gear? Well, for the group we hosted at the Fashion Valley San Diego Sony Style store we got a lot off "oooohs" and "aaaahs"! Last Friday we invited Local DJs and their teams to come experience Sony products first hand. It was a chance to try the gear and get tips and advice from the Sony Style staff.
